Tired of the same old verse-chorus songs? Want to spice up your songwriting skills? Come to Advanced Songwriting for Improvisors and learn how to challenge your song structure habits and to create songs with unique and distinct melodies. Taught by Diana DiCostanzo (creator of Un-Scripted's Improvised Musical Theatre Class and Un-Scripted Performing Alum) and accompanied by David Norfleet, Diana will teach you how to think like a true composer/lyricist and be able to create beautiful songs and melodies spontaneously.

Diana DiCostanzo is a New York City based actress, improvisor, and singer-songwriter. She studied Theatre and Music at Emerson College and has studied improv at various schools across the country, including ImprovBoston, EndGames Improv, Un-Scripted, and The Annoyance (NYC). Together with Jacob Russell-Snyder, she developed the Improvised Musical Theatre Class for the Un-Scripted Theater Company in 2013 and was their lead instructor until moving to NYC. In NYC she teaches independent workshops on Improvised Musical Theatre in addition to producing and performing in long form narrative improvised plays. She is also part of the improvised musical duo “Bookends: A Musical Journey,” with whom she has performed at the New York Musical Improv Festival and the West Coast Musical Improv Festival (2017). Now she is thrilled to be returning to the WCMIF for the second time to bring back this fun and rewarding workshop!
